We have been appointed alongside Lee-Evans Architects to work on the refurbishment of the Grade II listed Christ Church in Surbiton, in the Diocese of Southwark.

Significant alterations are proposed to reverse the unsympathetic modifications made to the inside of the church in the 1970’s.  The church, designed by architect C L Luck and built in 1862, will have its original ornately painted ceiling fully exposed, restored and lit.  Floors lowered in the transepts will allow for new mezzanine floors to be added to provided much needed accommodation for the growing congregation.  A submersible baptism pool is proposed, sunken into the Nave floor, and the worship area is to be returned to facing the Chancel as it was originally intended.
